In Loving Memory of Tooey

Tooey Mitchell July 27, 2008 – June 12, 2024.

Today we said goodbye to General Tooey, Tooters, Big Daddy, Fluffy Bunny. Tooey was a distinguished gentleman when he came into our lives at the spry young age of 11.

He loved all dogs, loved to play with his friends who have passed before him. We were lucky enough to have been selected by Connie at NBGR to care for such a gentleman in the Paws of Winter group. My husband swore for years that NBGR lied to us because he wasn’t in his Winter or 11,12,13,14 years old. He was convinced he was 5! I wished I knew Tooey as a puppy or young adult because I am sure he was a handful.

Tooey fit right into our crazy household the minute he stepped into the house and was greeted with open paws from his new fur brothers. In the short time 4 years 9 months and 6 days I have been able to spend with Tooey has been filled with adventure every day. I don’t think I can ever go back to having a puppy. Tooey has spoiled me on the Golden Age of dogs. To the last BG in the house for now.
