Turtle was funny, weird, stubborn, impatient and loved to annoy his sister Elfie. A true comedian and ham in every sense, who made me laugh every day.

My mom and Bogey found me when I was two and quickly decided I needed to be with them or I wouldn’t live long. Then, my medical chart quickly became a textbook—hydrocephalus, syringomyelia, and later IBD and PLE. Pancreatitis, and stomach cancer joined the list 3 weeks ago. I was supposed to leave so many times over the last ten years, but I defied the odds every single time.

I had a mission to annoy as many humans as possible.

I never complained. I just kept going and going like the Energizer Bunny, teaching my human the true meaning of patience, perseverance, and unconditional love. I was my human’s full-time job and entire world and together we shared a lifetime of funny, weird, stubborn Brussels Griffon love.

Turtle will be missed by his mom, Elfie, and all who had the honor of knowing him in person or on social media. Until we meet again you live on in our hearts.
